General Parent Information
We believe Minecraft is more than just a game; it’s a space to learn, create, and connect. Our server is designed for players ages 11 to adult, with a focus on homeschoolers, families, and a shared sense of community.
Discord and Age Requirements
Discord's Terms of Service require users to be 13 years or older to have their own account. For younger players (ages 11–12), we ask that a parent or guardian joins the Discord server on their behalf.
You’ll receive server announcements and installation instructions.
You can open a support ticket or ask questions anytime.
You’ll help your child get whitelisted and stay informed on updates.
You’ll stay connected to the community and you’re welcome to play too!
If your child is 13 or older, they may join Discord directly with your supervision and support. We encourage all parents to be involved, regardless of age.
Moderation at Work
We’ve built ECHOVERSE with safety, creativity, and kindness at its core, and that starts with how we moderate the server.
The server is managed and overseen by our family, and we’ve created it to be a safe, welcoming space built on mutual respect and trust. While we do not monitor gameplay 24/7, we are always available in Discord to review concerns, provide support, or help resolve issues.
We encourage all players ~ kids, teens, and adults ~ to play respectfully, be mindful of others, and help maintain our friendly environment.
Privacy and COPPA Compliance
Echoverse follows the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to protect younger players online.
Players under 13 join only with parent supervision and an annual permission form on file.
We collect minimal information: Minecraft username and parent contact details only.
We do not collect real names, photos, videos, or personal identifying data.
All community spaces are moderated and family-friendly.
These measures ensure that Echoverse remains COPPA-compliant, creating a safe, parent-guided environment for younger participants.
Screenshots and Videos
At times, we may capture in-game screenshots or video clips to highlight community builds or events.
These include gameplay only. Never real-life photos or faces.
Player usernames may appear in images or videos if visible in-game.
Parents of players under 13 must sign the annual permission form to allow in-game appearance.
Parents can request removal of any image or clip at any time.
This approach allows Echoverse to celebrate creativity while keeping privacy and safety our top priority.
Respect Others
Be kind in chat and voice. No hate speech, bullying, or harassment in Minecraft or Discord.
No Griefing or Stealing
Don’t destroy or modify someone else’s build without permission. If it’s not yours, leave it alone.
Mods and Cheating
Only approved mods from our modpack are allowed. No hacked clients, X-ray, or exploits.
Keep it Clean
No inappropriate content, usernames, or language. Keep it family-friendly and age-appropriate.
Use Voice Chat Respectfully
If using in-game or Discord voice chat, be respectful. No screaming, music blasting, or disruptive behavior.
Follow Moderator Directions
Listen to the moderators and admins. If there’s an issue, message a mod — don’t create public drama.
Whitelist & Permission
Only approved players are allowed on the server. Do not share the server IP or invite others without permission.
ECHOVERSE is a Survival Mode server, designed to keep the classic Minecraft feel while adding a few lightweight mods to enhance the experience.
Survival Gameplay – No creative mode, just good old-fashioned building, crafting, and exploring.
Freedom to Build and Play – Players are encouraged to create, collaborate, and explore at their own pace.
PVP Allowed with Consent Only – Both players must agree beforehand.
No Griefing or Destructive Trolling – Harmless pranks (like filling a base with bushes) are allowed but damaging actions (like lava traps or theft) are not.
Player Respect is Key – The focus is on fun, cooperation, and safe play.
We want everyone ~ kids, teens, and adults alike ~ to feel welcome, respected, and excited to be part of the world we’re building together.
